  Friday Aug. 19th I placed an order for a quarter sheet cake for my son's second birthday party. When I called Sharon I explained the party was for the following Saturday. She asked me to pick the cake up Friday as they would be closed Saturday. This sounded ideal as I live in Boerne and work in kerrville and could conveniently pick the cake up after work. The week came and went and it was now Friday the 26th. I had not received any updates about the cake but made sure to get to the bakery before closing on Friday. Upon arrival Sharon asked when the party was. I stated it was the next day but felt uneasy about where the conversion was headed. She then gave me a roundabout storey about how she was busy and then not busy and something about her husband, the point being the cake was NOT ready. I was shocked. She pointed to the cake in the background explaining it was already made and iced but she hadn't begun any of the decorations. She then asked if there was anyway I could give her 15 more minutes and she could have it completed. I promptly agreed as I needed that cake. Then she went back on her request explaining that the following morning would be best as she “would be less inclined to cut any corners” in her attempt to finish the cake. I agreed to come back Saturday but was very upset. I would have preferred to cancel the cake and pick something up at HEB but I had already put half down when I placed the order. (I also was confused about how i would be picking the cake up on Saturday if they were closed and she explained they were only closed because they had a trip planned that got cancelled.)
  
  I returned Saturday morning to pick up the cake, Sharon apologized again and gave the same roundabout excuse from the day before. She had me pay full price which I expected some sort of discount as I had to drive 60 miles round trip to pick up a cake that should have been ready the day before. I will not be returning to this bakery, thank goodness I didn't need the cake Friday.
  
  To make matter worse the cake didn't taste like the samples we tried. Yes the cake was cute but that's about it.

  Had "Sleepless in Kerrville" cupcakes-wonderful combination of chocolate and coffee flavor. The frosting wasn't cloyingly sweet, which I liked. They have several flavors of cupcakes in the bakery display, as well as cake balls.
  
  We also bought a cake we had ordered for an event. It was ready to pick up when they said it would be-always nice. It was nicely decorated, and tasted great.
